Tasha Deal, Trainer

Tasha started as a client with The Working K9 for Conformation help with her dog Zuko in 2021, and quickly fell in love with the working dog world. As a professional groomer by trade (almost a decade now) and owning a show line Malinois, she realized she wanted more. She applied to work as a Kennel Technician with the WK9 in 2022, and has flourished ever since.

She is did a year-long WK9 Apprenticeship in 2024 and is so excited to now hold the label of Professional Dog Trainer, focusing on both pet dogs and working dogs. Tasha has a Bachelors Degree in Education from the University of South Florida, is a registered AKC CGC Evaluator (which also includes AKC S.T.A.R. Puppy, AKC CGCA, AKC CGCU, and AKC Trick Dog), and has a total love for staying active and hiking – especially in the Blue Ridge Mountains.

Tasha recently (10/2024) earned her IGP BH on one of her dogs: Zuko. She also enjoys training/competing in and has numerous titles in multiple AKC sports such as Rally Obedience, Dock Diving, FastCAT, Lure Coursing, Fetch, and Agility. She is now training towards her IGP BH with her other dog, Aspen. Aspen is purple collar female from our A Litter (10/2022) and thriving with Tasha.

If you’ve been to HQ, or met Tasha, you’ll know exactly why we’re so lucky to have her on our team. She currently spends half her time here in Florida and the other half in Black Mountain, North Carolina getting ready to open up her own WK9 location there.
